Jeremy Austin – 17 years old and a junior in high school. His father and older brother are renowned genetic scientists and the inadequacies he feels are like a pachyderm sitting on your head.

Alexander Leach, Jr. – 18 years old and a senior in high school – the school quarterback, he's a blue blood, rich kid and the school bully.

Selene Choi – 18 years old and of Chinese descent, she's somewhat kooky and air-headed but inside that Bloomingdale shopper's mind for fashion is a fierce, cool-headed fighter.

Marissa Torres – 16 year old female of Mexican descent, she's an indie girl type with dark, scary makeup - she's borderline EMO but scorns the concept. With a sharp tongue, she lays waste the foolish around her who would dare challenge her intellect…cheerleaders beware.

Patrick O'Connor – 18 years old and a ruthless computer hacker. He's a computer whiz kid, laid back and enjoys assaulting people with his intellect, not his gangly, tall frame.

Leon 'Leo' Tyrannus – under-sized and un-athletic, he makes up for his physical weakness by having a razor-sharp intellect and an IQ that's off the charts.

Helene Colbert – Jeremy's girlfriend and leader of the Lewisville High cheerleaders.

TerraGen Universal – one of the largest biotech companies in the world and based in Lewisville.
